Farm House, Kedron

If you’re looking for a fresh, locally sourced breakfast joint in Brisbane, you 100% cannot go past Farm House, Kedron.

Saturday morning saw me roll out of bed after a few weeks out of the country and all I wanted was a fresh, well-cooked breakfast! And, gawd was I in for a treat when Google led me straight to Farm House in Kedron!

Located on Somerset Road (#9), behind where the old Farmer Joe’s used to be (just off Gympie Road), Farm House specialises in creating gourmet (my breakfast was a 10/10) meals from locally sourced farmers and food producers.

I walked into the venue and met with a stylish abundance of greenery (I love plants, like, a lot)! The industrially styled restaurant was strung with vines, vertical gardens, herb troughs, re-claimed timber furniture (the nice stuff) and a host of fresh-faced, hard-working staff. Win!

I ordered the crispy sweet potato cake with poached eggs and a mango frappe. The sweet potato cake (although it was more like a whole roasted spud than a cake) was next level delicious. Every mouthful worked, it was balanced, the hollandaise sauce was just enough and the wilted greens and bacon were just ๐Ÿ‘Œ(I’m drooling again).

The mango frappe was also pretty damn good! I’m not gonna lie.
